White Sox’ Mark Buehrle pitches perfect game

“Never thought I’d throw a no-hitter, never thought I’d throw a perfect game, never thought I’d hit a home run,” said Buehrle, who has done all three. “Never say never in this game because crazy stuff can happen.”

The pitcher received a congratulatory telephone call from President Barack Obama—a White Sox fan—following the 16th perfect game since the modern era began in 1900 and the first since Johnson’s on May 18, 2004.

“We joked around, a 30-second phone call, and I’m like ‘What? That’s all he’s got for me?”Buehrle said.

The 30-year-old Buehrle became only the second pitcher to throw two no-hitters for the White Sox: Frank Smith did it against Detroit in 1905 and the Philadelphia Athletics in 1908. The only previous perfect game for the White Sox was by Charles Robertson at Detroit on April 30, 1922. An amazing catch in the ninth inning from center fielder, DeWayne Wise saved Buehrle's perfect game.

ZEVS

Zevs is a French street artist named Schwarz Christophe Arhirre. He was an early and influential graffiti artist and active as a tagger in Paris in the 1990s. He is named after a regional train, Zeus, that almost ran him over one day he was down in the metro. Working with other French names of the second half of the 1990s like Andre` and Invader, Zevs has been among the prominent figures who pioneered the French street art scene.

By the end of the 90's he became known for his poetic drawings of shadows in Paris. Later he 'bombed' models on the billboards between the eyes. Though his interventions have been very popular, it has been discussed in France whether it is vandalism or art.

In 2008 Zevs' art was featured at the classical art museum in the NY Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, Denmark. His work was displayed side by side with the museum's permanent collections, mainly of classical Greek and Roman sculpture.

R.I.P ANGEL JAMES RICHARDS FLORES

He was born on October 4th 1993 and passed on April 11, 2009. He spent most of his life in El Monte, CA. He attened Rio Hondo Middle School during the time that I knew him. On the night of April 10th 2009, he attended a party in a hotel room in Rosemead. On Saturday April 11th, 2009 at 2:00 A.M. he was shot by two men. The murder was supposedly a gang initiation. He was not the only one hit by the gun fire, 22 year old Gustavo, was also shot and killed that night. He was an amazing person that always had a big smile on his face, and I think thats what people are gonna miss about him the most.I remember on one halloween when Angel, Hunter, and I dressed up as girls for Haloween during school.(Good Times.) He was a great friend. He will be missed.
